Tip:
Greasing and Linning your cake pan with baking paper, allows you to easily reomove your cake and to stop the cake from
sticking to the bottom.
Instructions:
Ombre Cake
Step 1. Preheat your oven on 150 degrees celcius fan forced
Step 2. Prepare your cake pan by greasing it with butter and linning it with baking paper, this will allow your cake to come out of the pan easily and not stick to the bottom.
Step 3. Combine cake mix, eggs, milk, butter in bowl (I used a packaged cake mix that had all the quantities listed)
Step 4. Once ingredients are combined I added a small amount of gel food colouring, stirring into mixture until i get desired colour

Step 5. Pour cake mixture into pan
Step 6.Place cake into oven and cook until the cake is ready

Step 7. take out cake and leave it to cool

Step 8. Repeat steps 1 to 7 and make how ever many layers you desire I recommend making between 3-5 layers for your cake. Remember when adding food colouring to add different amounts each time to get different light or dark shades.
White chocolate ganache filling
Step 1. Place white chocolate melts into a microwave safe bowl
Step 2. Pour 125mls of cream on top of white chocolate melts

Step 4. Mix throughly with a spoon until combined

Step 5. Refridgerate until firm

Cutting out template and Assembaling cake
Step 1. Take one cake layer and place cut out template on top of the cake
Step 2. Using a knife cut around the logo

Step 3. Repeat with other cake layers

Step 4. Place a liite bit of icing on cake stand to help let the cake stick

Step 5. Place darkest colour cake layer on the bottom of the cake stand

Step 6. Spread white chocolate ganache filling on the cake layer

Step 7. place next cake layer on top

Step 8. repeat steps 6 to 7 until you have place all of your cake layers

Recipe Notes:
-
For this recipe I cheated a little bit and used packaged cake mix.
-
To melt the choclate melt in a safe bowl over a saucepan of boiling water, I found this to be better than microwaving as the chocolate melted more evenely and microwaving made the chocolate lumpy and set to quickly
-
For this recipe I went for a pink, teal and cream/white colour scheme
-
You can make the cake either a teal or pink ombre
